Tsugaru Fujimiso

The staff in both the restaurant and front desk were upbeat and friendly. Dinner came with so many tasty dishes that I couldn't get through them all, sorry about that. The spacious bath was lovely and warming, too. My room had a guaranteed lake view, though the roof over the large public bath blocked much of it, so I could barely see the lake. The tatami was worn and old, which was a letdown. Still, the hotel sits right beside Tsuru-no-Mai Bridge, where lots of people were taking pictures with the bridge and Mount Iwaki behind them. Next time I'll come with a bigger appetite.

The hot spring water comes straight from the source and is excellent, and the food was delicious. Though the facilities are dated, everything was spotless, and you can see Tsuru-no-Mai Bridge from all over the property. The stay is rather pricey, though. Maybe they'd get more guests if a night cost around 10,000-15,000 yen?

It's a cozy, welcoming place, almost one I'd rather keep to myself. Tsugaru Fujimi Lake Park is nearby, and the hotel looks out over Tsuru-no-Mai Bridge, Japan's longest log bridge. From the lobby through to the natural hot springs, the scenery adds to a little resort-like feel.

The staff were pleasant and handled the service well, and the portions were generous with excellent food. The hot spring has no open-air bath, but its iron-rich water flows directly from the source, and the view is spectacular. I'd love to soak while it's still light outside. I stayed on April 30, 2025. The rooms feel like standard business hotel or resort rooms, but they're clean, roomy, and comfortable. The view of Mt. Iwaki and Tsuru-no-mai Bridge is incredible, and the hotel connects to the park, making it easy to walk over to the bridge. It must be even more beautiful when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
