Hotel Yunotaniso

I had a nice stay.

The bath was spacious, with both a hot spring section and a heated bath. The spring water was sometimes warm and sometimes quite hot, while the heated bath had a jacuzzi. Staff were all very nice, and I’d use the place again. I stayed on December 28, 2025. Guests at Okutadami Maruyama Ski Resort can get a shuttle to the Silver Line. Jackets to wear over yukata, razors, and other items are available at the front desk. Souvenirs are sold there too, along with vending machines. The room was spacious and had a refrigerator, air conditioning, toilet, and safe. Tea and snacks were provided, and the futon was ready with sheets, so I only had to spread it out. Meals are served in the dining room from 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM. I had shabu-shabu, which was delicious and generous. Rice and miso soup are labeled self-service, but staff will serve them. Soft drinks are all-you-can-drink at the drink bar.

It’s not a fancy place and there’s no welcome drink, but it worked really well for a ski trip. The building is old and the outside looks like an elementary school, yet the accommodation is well kept. The staff even turn on the hallway heating in winter. The bath was clean and comfortable, too.

We went to Yunotani-so on February 9, 2026, for an event at Kasai Dairoku Elementary School. The service was excellent, and the food felt luxurious. We were very satisfied and would definitely recommend staying here. 👍🏻
