Hikari Dome

[Location] There are graveyards along the road near the dome and just below it. I'm a little sensitive to spirits, but they didn't bother me. There aren't any convenience stores close by. [Facilities] The baths and toilets were much cleaner than I expected, and our stay was comfortable. Tissues and toilet paper are provided, and the wet wipes there are fine to use. Although the website said there was no microwave, our room had one, so we'd brought namul and simmered dishes for nothing. Each guest also got paper plates, chopsticks, and a 500 ml bottle of water. There's a vending machine in front of the dome, but you'll need ice too, so bringing a 2 L bottle makes sense. Extra paper plates are handy as well. [Service] For four people, it came to around ¥17,000 per person, depending on the season. I thought that was a little expensive, though the tender meat and large, tasty scallops and shrimp were good. The portions weren't small, but bringing extra meat might make the meal more satisfying. Vegetables provided were cabbage, shiitake mushrooms, and onions. We brought enoki mushrooms, bell peppers, and bread for breakfast. Salt, pepper, and yakiniku sauce were supplied. They also provided two foil-like grill plates, but they burn easily, so I'd bring your own. There was construction nearby while we were there, and the noise woke us in the morning. Since it's a tent, rain can be loud. The bed was soft, and there was air conditioning, so if you're not too particular, it's comfortable enough. You can hear footsteps and voices easily, and there are homes nearby, so it's not a place to party. Being in Okinawa, there are lots of bugs, which could bother anyone who hates them.
