Utazu Grand Hotel

The location is great, and there's a huge parking lot behind the hotel. At check-in, the two gentle older men in the lobby surprised me by speaking good English, which made for a really great experience. I stayed in a single room. I don't smoke, but those rooms are usually smoking rooms, and mine had a strange smell. It's an old hotel, so the room was pretty simple.

The front desk woman was kind, and the area is convenient for getting around. I booked a single room with a semi-double bed and asked for a desk and room to study. The single room was really small, with no space, so they moved me to a twin room for the same price. Thanks a lot! The hotel is quite old but looks clean apart from the rooms, especially the smoking room, which was...hmmmm.

The train station is within walking distance, and convenience stores, clothing stores, and restaurants are nearby. A good place to stay while traveling.

I stayed for more than a month on a business trip. Everything was clean, but the hotel is very old and poorly maintained. The main draw is the shared bath and sauna on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was a set menu that repeated every day.
