Log Inn Tarasso (okinoerabu Island)

The restaurants on the property served tasty food at reasonable prices, and I’m planning to stay here again. It’s a simple, peaceful hotel. A few chairs on the terrace would have made it five stars.

I got sick unexpectedly and was in a tough spot, but the staff kindly helped me in several ways. That care felt very characteristic of Okinoerabu, and reflected the close ties between the town and its people.

This was my third visit, since I come to Okinoerabu Island every February. I’m always comfortable here. The staff have a thoughtful way of giving you space while still responding quickly when something comes up, and I really appreciate that. I’d love to return next year. Thank you.

The small room was functional and easy to use, and the shower stall had decent space and good hot water. The clean building has a log cabin feel, though some sound came through from the neighboring rooms. The little sink in the toilet area was awkward to use, but the lit mirror on the counter was handy for doing my makeup.
