Nakasyo ryokan

The food tasted great, with lots of different homemade dishes. The rooms had an old-fashioned feel, but they were clean and well looked after.

The woman, who I think was the landlady, was kind and spoke gently. I was in an unfamiliar place, so I really appreciated that. The service gets a 4 from me. I booked Nakasho Ryokan the same day because I needed somewhere to stay in Watari Town at short notice. I’d checked this website and then Rakuten Travel, where the amenities listed a hair dryer. After my bath I looked for one in my room, but there wasn’t one. When I checked Nakasho Ryokan again on Jalan, hair dryers were marked “X.” I wish I’d asked about it when I arrived. Aside from that, I had no trouble sleeping or staying there, so I’d give the stay a 3.

There are restaurants nearby, so I’d recommend staying without meals. There are no hot springs. If you just need somewhere to stay in the area, this place is a good option.

The meals were a real surprise, centered on seafood, and everything tasted as good as it gets. I heard they go out of their way to buy ingredients directly from a market far away. I was completely satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. The room had the character of a long-established inn, but it was very clean, and I had no complaints. I’d like to visit again.
