After flying in from Australia with our cat, we had a comfortable first night here as we're moving to Japan. The owner picked us up at Narita, stopped at a supermarket so we could get dinner supplies, and drove us on to the accommodation. It's a fair distance from the airport, so we appreciated the ride. The house is older, but warm and comfortable, and the semi-rural neighborhood is very quiet. After all the noise and stress of the flight, that calm was welcome. Pet-friendly rooms are hard to find, so we're glad we chose this place. The owner also took us to the local station the next morning so we could catch a train into Tokyo.

The old-Japan-style design gave the accommodation a nostalgic feel, especially the bath, but everything was so clean it didn't feel old. I stayed at Guesthouse Yachimata before taking my dog overseas on an early flight, since the animal quarantine station was closed. I took the Skyliner from Tokyo to Narita Airport, completed quarantine the day before, and was picked up for the overnight stay. They drove me to Narita Airport early the next morning, which helped a lot, and it was useful that my dog could ride in the car. I'd stay here again if I have the chance.

Having the whole house to ourselves was a first for me, and it was great to use the kitchen and bathroom freely. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and I could properly relax. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and appliances, so we cooked with things from the nearby supermarket. There was even a big hot plate and a takoyaki maker, so we had a takoyaki party! lol It's fairly close to the station, but the area is really quiet. A walk outside after sunset was lovely, and I'd definitely come back if I get the chance.

With a small house next door where the host is always around, we could ask questions or call over if anything came up. That made the stay feel safe and pleasant. Two of us stayed here for a theater rehearsal retreat, surrounded by trees in a quiet, lovely setting. There are three rooms, a Western-style bedroom, a Japanese-style room, and a living room with a kitchen. We slept in the soft beds in the Western-style room and used the Japanese-style room to practice, making good use of the space. Everything felt hygienic, and we had no worries. We ordered katsudon and sausages for dinner through the delivery service booklet on the living room table, and they were delicious. We spent most of this visit rehearsing, but next time we'd like to come with a bigger group and take it easy. There's a terrace and barbecue set, a grocery shopping service, a well-equipped kitchen with utensils and dishes, and a washing machine. Staying with more people is even more economical. It was also nice to have a TV in both the Japanese-style and Western-style rooms.
