The meals were delicious, and the large public bath had good water temperature, plenty of room, and strong pressure. Bath and hand towels were supplied, and there was a hairdryer there too. In the detached room, though, the curtains were moldy and the TV sat on the floor with no stand. There was no room fridge; guests shared one in the lounge. Commercial TV was limited to Nippon Television and TBS, and there were no slippers. The convenience store was a long way off. Room 206 was a higher-grade option, with a large bath and toilet in the room.

This place is mainly used as a training camp for university students. At night there is no manager, and students drink in their rooms and in the lobby until morning, so it can turn into a lawless zone. Families are not allowed to stay. I wouldn't recommend it to the general public.

I came here for training camp use, and wouldn't suggest it to anyone expecting ryokan-style extras like a TV in the room, yukata, or amenities. It does seem well known for camps, though. Both times I've been here, the place was full of people enjoying different sports. Dinner and breakfast were generous, and I was very satisfied with the meals.

There’s a walking route from here that goes almost straight to the Lake Yamanaka/Mt. Fuji viewpoint. We had a really satisfying camping stay, too. The property manager kindly arranged rides both ways to the hot spring ♨️ Benifuji no Yu because the large public bath wasn't available that day. Although the facility itself was closed, we could use the campground's free site. With the weather looking uncertain, we shifted to the indoor BBQ space and tent area. Everything was roomy, clean, and well equipped, and we had a great time 🔥🏕.
