The staff were available whenever we needed them, and they made a special surprise for my future wife after I asked them to decorate our room with flowers. They handled it perfectly and were responsive and clearly wanted everything to go well. We had a spotless room furnished in traditional Japanese style, with a Mount Fuji view. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my trip to Japan. You can book the private onsen on-site or contact reception directly. Lake Yamanakako and a bus stop for getting to Tokyo are both about five minutes away.

Good for a group or anyone traveling by car: the dining area is spacious, and you can gather there with outside food. Hatago Tsubakiya has traditional Japanese-style rooms and a quiet, local feel, surrounded by nature. The private onsen needs to be booked ahead. It’s about a 30-minute drive from Kawaguchiko Station.

We spent every evening winding down in the private onsen, which was a great end to the day. Our room was lovely and even had views of Mount Fuji. The staff were so kind and ready to help. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We arrived around 8:30pm, a little late, but the staff were very accommodating and immediately booked us an onsen slot. The room was spacious, and everyone was so kind. We hope to return to Japan and will stay here again when we do.

The view of Mount Fuji from the window was breathtaking, and the whole place had a warm, relaxing feel. Our room was spacious, clean, and well organized. The staff were attentive, incredibly kind, and always willing to help. We had a wonderful stay at this family-friendly hotel and highly recommend it.
