Panoramic Mt. Fuji Views from All Rooms – VISION GLAMPING Resort & Spa YAMANAKAKO

We came from Australia to visit Japan with our family, and this turned out to be a lovely place to unwind. The kids had a great time outside, while we enjoyed the scenery and being surrounded by nature. Mt. Fuji looked breathtaking, and the private sauna and other facilities were clean and well cared for. We’d love to return.

What made the glamping stay memorable was having so much to ourselves, with service that involved little contact and just the right amount of effort. It kept a sense of camping while still feeling luxurious. From the room, we had a gorgeous, unobstructed Mt Fuji view. We also made use of the private campfire, onsen and sauna, and the well equipped kitchen, with a grill for BBQ meals, a coffee machine and a sandwich maker.

After our long, strenuous hike, having our own sauna and onsen was such a treat. The tent had very comfortable beds and plenty of amenities, and the privacy and comfort made the trek from Kyoto feel worth the cost. We were lucky enough to see Mt Fuji on both nights. My husband and I got the food and drinks package, which gave two people more than enough good food to cook ourselves. There’s also a fairly affordable grocery store with prepared meals less than a 10 minute walk away if you’d rather not cook. Taxis aren’t always easy to find, so arrange them ahead of time. We hadn’t realized that, but the staff were very helpful in sorting it out. The staff aren’t very fluent in English, so a translation app comes in handy. The labels are in both English and Japanese. There are real campsites nearby, and the property is right by a forest, so you may hear wildlife or people.

The staff were very professional, and they even offered fireworks for a fee. That was one of several surprises in an experience that felt romantic and out of this world. The onsen style tub had both hot and cold water, and there was a sauna too. I was perspiring within minutes. We also had a detailed, personal food setup with a full meat platter, vegetable soup and pasta, and a high end BBQ grill cooker. In the courtyard, we could sit around a fire. With Mt Fuji in the distance, this was a world class glamping experience that went beyond all expectations.
