Yoichi Vineyard Glamping

Really glad we booked two nights. The service was extremely friendly, and the half-board option was excellent, with BBQ and drinks plus breakfast.

The bed was comfortable, and I liked the BBQ food. But honestly, my first glamping trip left me disappointed. The tents are packed close together in what feels like a very muddy field. It looks as if the place opened in a hurry, and the grounds need a lot of landscaping to feel presentable. There’s a lot of work needed before the setup feels worth the prices.

We brought our own food and drinks, and even heavy rain didn’t spoil the fun. The staff were attentive and helpful, even bringing firelighters when we got the fire going. The all-you-can-drink Yoichi sake is a great deal! 😂 There are showers and a sauna too. Shame the owner wasn’t there, so we couldn’t hear the guitar! 😂

This was my second year in a row visiting, and I want to go again. The location is superb, near the famous Domaine Takahiko vineyards in Yoichi, with all the wineries easy to get to. I’ve tried both plans and was very satisfied with each. Bringing our own food was easy, since Yoichi has excellent butcher shops and supermarkets with fresh seafood for ingredients. The all-inclusive option meant no prep, just a fun BBQ with a well-balanced, delicious meal. The all-you-can-drink selection is fantastic too. It included wonderful Yoichi wines that are hard to find in Tokyo, as well as Yoichi whiskey and even juice, all from Yoichi.
