This is a great hotel chain. Living in a couple of their apartments over the last year helped me get by without paying crazy fees just to get an apartment. I've moved on now, but all the staff are amazing and I'll really miss them.

The rooms are great if you're not on a lower floor. On weekends, the drunk sailors shouting and the loud, stupid music coming from the bars can get pretty noisy.

The hotel itself and its staff were really nice, and my room on the seventh floor was clean, comfortable, and on the quieter side. The free laundry was handy too. My colleague had a balcony room on the other side and struggled to sleep because of the bars below. Several nearby bars stay open all night and get very loud. Drunk people coming out around 3, 4, or 7 a.m. were likely to cross your path if you were heading to the 7-Eleven across the street. One Sunday morning there was a big disturbance at the entrance across the road and police were called. It looked like it might have been a bar fight. While I was doing laundry one morning, a very drunk man who seemed to be mumbling Swedish wandered into the hotel elevator and got off on the second floor. I couldn't tell whether he was staying there or had come in from the street. Because of these safety concerns, I may need to stay somewhere else when I'm in Yokosuka. It's a shame the hotel is in such a seedy spot.

People were vaping in the lobby without anyone doing anything about it, and the breakfast was inedible. This city feels worse than any US military town I've visited. What the hell is going on here?
