The sea is right there, and the big windows in the sauna trailer make the Nahama beach view part of the experience. The owner kept the temperature just right, and the leil water had a calming woody scent. After cooling off in the outdoor tub, we even went straight into the sea. It was my first sauna trailer and a lot of fun. One practical tip: it’d be much easier if someone in your group could pick people up from the station.

After breakfast, we walked along the beach and took photos of Mt Fuji. A lovely way to finish the stay. The night before, we’d had great food cooked on the Cobb grill, then the sauna and cold bath left us sleeping like babies. Thanks, Gen-san, for such a fantastic experience. Arigatou!

My friend and I spent about three hours at The Galaxy Express Nahama on an afternoon trip. The best part was heading down to the ocean after the sauna and jumping into the freezing winter water. It was brutally cold at first, but after a minute or two we got used to it, and we were amazed by how clean the water was. A sauna with the ocean right there to jump into feels like a really special experience in Japan. Thank you, The Galaxy Express Nahama and Ide san!
