We really enjoyed the food and the top-notch service. The rooms were spotless and neatly kept, and each one had its own outdoor onsen bath. I’d recommend staying here.

My wife and I stayed here back in December 2013, and it left such a good impression that she even said she wanted to return, which is unusual for her. The welcome from the smiling staff was lovely. Dinner was a delicious creative kaiseki meal, made with seasonal ingredients, and breakfast was more generous and tasty than we expected. The dining space wasn't a private room, but the shared area was dimly lit and felt semi-private. Our room was spacious for two and had an open-air bath and shower we could use whenever we wanted. The water in both the large bath and communal bath felt just right, not too hot. The inn sits along a prefectural road, a little way from Yufuin Station. Once you pass through the gate, the place feels like a change from the ordinary.

The meals were a highlight for us. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, nicely presented, and just the right amount. We also loved how welcoming the staff were, always smiling, and they even saw us off when we left. We were really glad we picked this inn and would love to come back. We stayed as a couple at the end of last month, our first time at a proper traditional inn. The male staff greeted us with warm smiles as soon as we arrived. We tried both the large public bath and the open-air bath in our room, and the water temperature was just right. The shower for our room was attached to the outdoor bath instead of being indoors, so in the middle of winter I'd use the large public bath for a shower. Thanks for a lovely stay m(_ _)m
