We stayed at Hoteiya on 2nd/3rd March 2026, in No: 33. The room was spacious and clean, and the air con kept it nicely warm. The private Onsen was great, as were the three outdoor onsens. Fresh milk was provided each morning, and breakfast and dinner were very GOOD! A driver picked us up at Yufuin Station. Zegi Sinya san was especially nice and helpful, and the service from him was excellent. There was also a very nice Indian guy, though I’m sorry I forgot his name. It’s only a five-minute walk to Yufuin Floral Village and 15 minutes to Yufuin Station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay at Hoteiya again.

The food was great, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It’s a peaceful, quiet spot away from the tourists. We loved staying here, and it was one of the highlights of our trip.

We spent one night here with our baby, and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the shuttle bus was a nice bonus. Our Japanese house with a private onsen was clean and spacious, with plenty of room for the baby to move around. The kaiseki dinner was one of the best I’ve had, and the portions were generous. It’s also quite convenient for walking to the main tourist spots.

The dishes were good, and the private bath was great. This is a nice onsen hotel in Yufuin, and it also offers three free “semi-private” onsens.

Our house, TAKASAGO, was spotless and spacious. It’s directly in front of the indoor private bath, which works on a first-come, first-served basis, so it was easy to see when it was free. Breakfast and dinner were served in private suites in the main restaurant. There was complimentary popcorn and onsen eggs to enjoy in the lobby after a soak. The front desk staff were very friendly, and apparently the hotel also has a free shuttle from Yufuin station. I’d definitely stay again!
