Yufuin Onsen Toshoan

The kaiseki was the best part of our stay, and I’d come back just for that meal. Toshoan also delivered gorgeous views at reception, a rustic ryokan atmosphere, and a private onsen. The workers were all friendly and helpful, and our main kaiseki server was amazing. We were there for our honeymoon in Japan, and this will probably be the highlight of the trip. Hands down, it was my best ryokan experience in Yufuin. I highly recommend it!!!

We stayed at Yufuin Onsen Toshoan on 6-7/ Feb during our holiday in Japan. The welcome and accommodation made us feel comfortable after a long journey. Our room was relaxing and comfortable, with nice amenities and very hygienic towels. The meals were delicious and impressive, and the staff were kind and professional, taking great care with the presentation of each dish. We especially appreciated the woman who helped arrange the menu, since my family can only eat pork and chicken. They also went out of their way to call and book a restaurant in Fukuoka, even though we weren’t staying longer. Thank you. The attention to detail made the hospitality feel complete and truly five-star.

The private indoor and outdoor onsen were incredible, and the room was spotless. We also had loads of complimentary drinks and a fantastic dinner. The views, facilities, and service were all amazing.

The meals were a real highlight, especially how carefully prepared they were. They may be the best I’ve had at a hot spring hotel. Yufu Mountain was visible from nearly everywhere, including the lobby, our room’s private bath, and the dining area. The staff were warm and helpful, and I’d gladly recommend staying here.
