Yufuin Ubl Hotel

Dinner and breakfast are offered, and I’d highly recommend both since there isn’t much else near the hotel. The room was spacious and clean, and the onsen on the ground floor was easy to get to. It’s quite far from Yufuin JR station, but there’s a free shuttle with its last service at 17:00. A taxi takes about seven minutes.

We enjoyed how peaceful and comfortable the hotel felt, with large windows looking out at the mountains and trees. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, and the futons made for a good night's sleep. The onsen was a relaxing highlight. It also worked well for a walk to nearby attractions, with a few traditional restaurants around for local food. A lovely modern version of a Japanese onsen stay for couples or families, and I’d recommend it to anyone after a calm getaway.

For our anniversary trip to Japan, we had a very pleasant stay here. The food and public bath were the standout parts, and our room was quiet and spacious with a nice mountain view. It was our second onsen hotel of the trip, so a bit different from the first. The complimentary shuttle made getting to and from the hotel easy. We only used it when leaving, since we came from another hotel after exploring town.

The surroundings were very quiet and comfortable, especially at night. The onsen, both indoors and outdoors, was soothing, and there was free coffee. It’s convenient if you’re driving, though you can also walk to the main tourist spot and lake. Without a car, getting around at night could be a bit harder. The tall man was hi-fi with classy enjoyment.
