Tenbo No Yado Mine

The bath was really hot, and the food was delicious. I especially wondered if that boat-shaped platter is the standard here. The rooms are beautiful, too. This is at the top of my list of places to visit again, lol.

Those hallway ornaments give the inn a charm you don't usually find in hotels. I also found the place clean and very nice. The food was delicious, and the service felt just right. The rooms were apparently renovated two years ago, along with the exterior, and they seemed much newer and cleaner than their age would suggest. I'm sure they clean them carefully. The bathroom does show its age, but it's clean and not slimy at all. I'd definitely like to come back.

We chose this inn for my parents' wedding anniversary. It's up on a hill, and getting there without a car means tackling a pretty steep road, but the view from our room was stunning. Dinner felt well worth the price, with a boat-shaped sashimi platter and fried shrimp among a run of lovely surprises. We left completely satisfied. Breakfast was a comforting Japanese meal. The crab miso soup was delicious, and my mother, who likes omelets lightly seasoned, was delighted. It's a radium hot spring. My mother usually needs a hot water bottle to sleep, but she said she stayed warm until morning. Great value, and an inn I'd happily recommend.

The staff were very considerate, though maybe more than necessary for us since we're not a young couple. They'd quickly say, "Please enjoy your stay," and then leave us be. My husband and I could see Manazuru's port and mountains from our room. The weather wasn't great, but I imagine the view is spectacular on a sunny day. Dinner was a gorgeous, generous sashimi platter, plus fried, simmered, and grilled dishes that were all excellent. We were so full we didn't want sashimi again for a while! The large bath wasn't divided by gender, perhaps because there aren't many rooms, so each room had it to themselves. We never ran into other guests while using it. The men's bath is about three times the size of the women's, so I think women would do well to reserve that one too.
