I was in Oyama for business and ended up staying here after all the business hotels around Oyama Station were booked. The staff were very friendly and had more of a ryokan feel than hotel staff, in a good way, lol. The building may be a little old, but the rooms are clean. For the price, I got more than I expected, including breakfast and a large public bath for men. I’d have liked the bath to open in the morning too, though maybe the cost would be too much.

Breakfast was free, tasty, and had free refills. The large public bath had binchotan charcoal in a net submerged in the water. The temperature was just right and it felt great. The room was small, but well organized, so I had no complaints.

The best part for me was breakfast. The buffet changes daily, so even staying several nights, I could enjoy something different each morning. Lots of the dishes felt homemade, and I was very satisfied. The facilities are showing their age, but the hotel offers more than the price suggests: a large public bath, welcome drinks, an ice maker, and curry for dinner. The bath is for men only on weekdays. It’s also conveniently located in front of Yuki Station.
