Salmond View Hotel

There's a restaurant, parking, and WiFi, and the lodge sits in a strategic spot along the highway. The rooms are spacious, self-contained, and very clean. Every room has an LG TV, a long table, and chairs. I'd say it's the best hotel in Kanduy or the Bongoma area, and I'd encourage everyone to book here.

To get to reception, you have to walk through a bar, which isn't ideal with children. The rooms are poor, like a typical roadside motel for truckers, and they use Guinness mats as table mats.

There's secure parking and a restaurant, and the room and bedding were clean. The hot shower was good too. Noise from the Eldoret Malaba highway is there, but manageable. I'd recommend it for a short overnight stay.

It's easy to find from Bungoma town: head toward Kanduyi Total petrol station, and it's just a few meters ahead. There's an outdoor bar and restaurant, plus a nyama choma area serving goat specifically. It's a good spot to relax after work. I haven't seen the rooms, so I can't really comment on them.
