Apple Mango Apartments

The pool was great, and the apartments stayed extremely quiet day and night. If you’re tired of noisy Airbnb places, Apple Mango could suit you, but the rest of my experience wasn’t good. I stayed from 24/07/2024 until 24/08/2024 and paid a month in advance. The location was good until 18:00 PM, about 200 meters from the main Road, but people said it was dangerous after 6-7 PM. I heard that a white guy had been murdered on this road some time ago while being mugged, so I wouldn’t walk there after 19:00 PM. They replaced the refrigerator with a better one, but refused to change the TV, which was practically worthless at 21-24 inches. By today’s standards, I expected a 34 inches TV. They had the audacity to tell me to buy a new TV and take it with me when I checked out, which felt 100% disrespectful. They had big huge TVs in other suites and apartments the whole time. What a joke. The joke could be on you too if you stay there. This is why I think they are 80% empty. I also asked for a safe box in the wall. They ordered the cheapest safe and handed it to me. What was I supposed to do as a guest, install it in the wall myself? All the “furniture” was made of concrete with sponge pillows laid over it. Want to sleep on a concrete bed with a mattress? Enjoy. They couldn’t move a large TV from another empty unit, even for a serious long term client like me. Despicable. I give it a mixed rating. If the place wasn’t quiet, I’d give it a very bad review.

The place looks beautiful, but the rooms were a letdown. The lighting was bad and the toilets were much worse. The manager was just as bad: he told the staff to stop my car and keep me inside over an uncleared balance. I was going to clear it after talking with him about the problems we were having in our room. The water was salty like beach water, so we never even showered there. We had to make our own bed every single day. Definitely not worth it.

I was there on a two day business trip, and the calm, quiet setting was ideal. The location is perfect, a couple of minutes from the beach, a shopping mall, banks, and places to eat, and very close to Diani Airport. The package was also very, very below budget, and it does what it’s meant to do.

It’s a very quiet, beautiful place, close to both the beach and the supermarket. The staff are always ready to help, and I enjoyed my stay. I’ll definitely come back.
