The location is lovely, right beside the beach, with a beach view, pools, and a resto-bar setup. Still, the pools could have been cleaner. There didn’t seem to be a proper dress code, and people swam in their regular clothes, which we hadn’t expected. We stayed two nights at Bahari beach villas in late May 2026. The rooms were okay, with working AC and fans and hot water in the shower. Towels were provided, but not every day. There were no mats in the rooms, and we found spiders in the cupboards. We were in a shared villa with a kitchen, but other tourists left cooking waste in the sink, and it stayed dirty for hours before management cleaned it. Breakfast was included, but not very good, just manageable. The room and lobby had no WiFi, despite the advertised 24/7 service. There was also no power for more than 4-5 hours during the day. We reported it, but had to stay in our room without electricity. They have a generator, though I believe it either didn’t work or wasn’t switched on. The toilet lights were very dim and could be improved.

The beachfront location is one of the villas’ main attractions. The management did respond to questions and complaints, but a lot of things need attention. Our rooms were spacious enough and kept clean, though the facilities were very old. The taps were badly rusty, one villa was without electricity constantly and became unbearably hot, the TVs didn’t work at all, and the WiFi was very poor. The pool was dirty much of the time, and cleaning only started around 10 am, when everyone was already up. Breakfast had little variety, with tasteless fruit and no sausages for the kids during our five days. Guests couldn’t always use the pool table or table tennis either. At one point, we had to beg the woman in charge to let us use them.

Hi, I visited and the service wasn’t great. The rooms were clean, but the bathrooms and toilets need an uplift, and water was an issue. They have three swimming pools, big ones that are nice, but they weren’t very clean. We were a group, and some rooms had been double booked and had maintenance issues. It’s budget friendly.

Bahari Dhaw Beach Villas has a peaceful feel and a lovely beachfront setting, and the staff were welcoming. Check-in was smooth, and Cynthia and Mary were especially professional, courteous, and attentive. My colleagues and I stayed for three nights and enjoyed parts of the experience, though several things need improvement. The Deluxe Room I later moved to in Villa B8 was cleaner and noticeably better than Villa A2, where the Deluxe and Standard Room facilities fell short. Some lights didn’t work, the microwave wouldn’t heat food, the phone line was disconnected, and the TV didn’t work. In the Standard Room, two single beds had been pushed together, which wasn’t comfortable. B8’s bathroom had few amenities. I’d expect toothpaste, a toothbrush, enough shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel at a place of this caliber. The bathtub drain wouldn’t hold water, so it couldn’t be filled. The restaurant breakfast options were limited. The pools were in fair condition, but some maintenance and improvement would help. Checking out was frustrating: even though we’d paid in advance, there were delays because payment confirmation hadn’t been communicated. The staff member handling it was unprofessional, and later called to ask whose name the payment had been made under. Better internal coordination would prevent that. It’s a quiet, relaxing place with commendable hospitality, but better room upkeep, amenities, and checkout coordination would make a real difference. With those changes, the property has plenty of potential.

The staff are friendly, and the restaurant is decent. I understand businesses are struggling, but there should still be a clear effort to make the experience better. The seating outside is pleasant in concept, but there’s not enough shade. The sisal poles are worn and spaced too far apart to block the sun properly. Inside, the bathrooms have no hanging poles, and the men’s and women’s sections are poorly separated. The toilets are dimly lit, and although a notice says not to bring beach sand in, guests have to walk all the way to the pool area to rinse off. A simple tap near the toilet entrance would make more sense. The old manholes near the restaurant look unsafe and smell bad. Some basic upgrades and better planning could make this a much better place. At the moment, it feels like wasted potential.
