The small touches made our honeymoon stay feel special: fresh flowers every day and the room refreshed while we were at dinner. The food was wonderful at every meal, and there’s a good range of choices for a small boutique hotel. The venue is charming and well kept, with lovely details, and the furniture, food and service all felt high quality. We’d been disappointed by another local resort and moved to AfroChic hoping for somewhere nicer and more romantic. We weren’t let down. Even when we first arrived to ask about staying, the staff gave us their full attention and were helpful and relaxed. This place really went the extra mile and saved the final week of our honeymoon.

Every meal was delicious. There’s an extensive menu, and dishes are sourced and cooked after you order, so the restaurant meals were the freshest we’ve ever enjoyed. The staff greeted us by name, looked after us all day and did it all with a smile. The service was impeccable. AfroChic was a beautiful place to end our honeymoon, and easily the best hotel we’ve stayed at, or probably ever will. It isn’t cheap, but it’s worth every penny. We’ll be back!

We stopped in for lunch and had excellent service. Lillian made sure we were comfortable, and Sandra at reception took time to show us around. The mixed seafood platter is a must if you love seafood. We also had the vegetable rolls, and the prawn taco was delicious.

We spent five nights here and had possibly the best hotel stay we’ve ever had. With just 10 rooms, Afrochic feels intimate and personal. The large rooms have a traditional look with all the modern touches you’d want, and both the pool and beach are incredible, with sun beds and cabanas. The staff were generous and attentive, and the à la carte menu was fantastic. We felt like royalty. Special thanks to Norman and Ali B for going out of their way to make our honeymoon perfect. Definitely recommend, 5/5.

The restaurant looks out over the beach and the waves breaking on the shore. The rooms stay cool with air conditioning throughout the day, and the beds are warm, cosy and comfortable. Best food, rooms and beach. A perfect seaside holiday spot.
