Morning Star Diani Beach Resort

A good spot for spending winter away from icy Europe. The apartments are clean and comfortable, and it’s easy to relax by the pool whenever you like. There are plenty of shops nearby in case you’ve forgotten anything.

I’ve never had such a terrible hotel stay or such bad service. The apartment was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned properly. The AC didn’t work, and the water pressure was so low I could barely wash my hands or shower. While I was changing, someone opened the door with a key without knocking, then ran off as soon as she saw us. When we complained, they said it must have been the cleaning lady. Wouldn’t she knock? Why run away without saying anything? I’m sure she wasn’t trying to clean. We raised all these problems and got no help. They were arrogant, had no solutions, and treated us badly. We also asked for a free late checkout so we could buy souvenirs, leave our luggage in the room, and shower before leaving. They said no. I’m extremely disappointed in the hotel and manager. We complained through the booking app and have photos and videos of everything. They claimed they had offered us a room change and that we said no, so on top of everything else, they’re liars. I only have bad things to say about this hotel. Terrible experience, I don’t recommend it.

The African breakfast was great, and the staff were excellent. Linda was amazing 👏🏾🤩. The apartments are spacious with pool views, and the beach near Maji Resort is within walking distance.

The sea and off-beach setting are nicely balanced, with a perfect location, lovely ambience, and great facilities. The service was attentive, and Joachim is a great host!
