Southern Palms Beach Resort

The beach is lovely and clean, and the pool wasn’t crowded when we were there, the week after Easter. It’s a great place with or without kids. The rooms are basic, but we didn’t spend much time in them. Service from the staff was amazing, and there was food throughout the day, with plenty of variety and new things to try. The cocktails are made with local spirits, though you can pay for better brands.

Regina, the Guest Experience Assistant, helped with check-in and went above and beyond arranging some wonderful experiences. The private beach dinner she organized was beautifully set up and magical. She also arranged a great beach cabana experience and a jet ski activity, both highlights of my visit. Zakia, my cabana attendant, was wonderful and attentive. I can’t remember the name of the gentleman who served dinner on the beach, but his excellent service made the evening even more special. My Oceanfront Deluxe room was spacious, spotless and comfortable, with incredible ocean views. It was a lovely place to relax in the peaceful atmosphere by the beachfront. The resort itself is beautiful, clean and perfectly located on Diani Beach, and everything from arrival onward felt smooth, welcoming and well organized. The whole staff were friendly and professional, and clearly take pride in giving guests a great experience. I highly recommend Southern Palms Resort to anyone visiting Diani Beach for the service, beautiful property and unforgettable ocean views.

The beach views are stunning, and there’s plenty of security around, so you feel safe. The pools are amazing and kept clean. Pool attendants are constantly fishing out leaves and anything else that blows in, well done to you guys! The buffet and Grill restaurant food were exceptional. The Italian restaurant was below average for both food and service and needs more attention and supervision. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, and the staff are extremely friendly.

The food was tasty and had plenty of variety, and the rooms were clean and regularly serviced. The Southern Hotel is well maintained, surrounded by greenery and wonderfully calm. Sofi deserves a special mention: she’s so kind, warm and professional, always smiling, helpful and thoughtful about guests’ comfort. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone after a relaxing holiday with excellent service.
