Villa Sunshine

The pool is lovely, and for about 25 usd the stay was okay and private. We were here for a couple of days, and at that price, it did the job. The building needs a lot of work, though, so I wouldn’t recommend it for a holiday. There were lots of stray cats around the building, with hair even on the table outside. They kept begging for food, which put us off having breakfast outdoors. The AC was expensive compared with other places in diani. For one bedroom over two nights, about 15 hours of use cost 16.000 ksh. We declined, since the booking email said it should be much cheaper. There are cameras in every room except the bedrooms and showers. WiFi didn’t work well in the bedroom. A housekeeper was there, but during the week we stayed she didn’t do anything, so we got no towels or garbage disposal. We had to wait in the area, and this is a decent cheap place to kill time, but I wouldn’t choose it for a holiday.
