Neptune Paradise Beach Resort & Spa

I’ve reviewed hotels and resorts around the world for more than twenty years, but Neptune Paradise Beach Resort & Spa stands out as truly unique. I can’t recommend a visit more highly. What mattered most was how the resort looked after us when our holiday took a difficult turn. One suitcase had been broken into on our Lufthansa journey from London Heathrow to Mombasa via Frankfurt. The locks were smashed and many belongings were stolen. Soon after we arrived, my wife became seriously unwell and needed treatment at a local hospital in Diani Beach. She received excellent care over several days, then had to stay in our room for the rest of the holiday to recover. The resort staff checked on us constantly, coming to the room or speaking with me on the porch to make sure we had what we needed. Managers, supervisors, and housekeeping all showed sincere care. Reception arranged taxis for hospital trips and supermarket runs for replacement essentials. Beach security were present and reassuring, especially when local vendors pestered guests, and guards patrolled extensively at night, which added to our sense of safety. Our planned excursions and safari had to be cancelled on medical advice, but I still found peaceful hours on our balcony watching monkeys play in the trees and roam the grounds. The miles of golden beach and sea in countless shades of blue were breathtaking when I went down there. Camels and ponies occasionally came by, which added some fun. The rest of the stay was excellent too. Our room was spotless and air-conditioned, with mosquito nets around the beds. Housekeeping cleaned it to a high standard each day and replenished bottled water, which we kept cold in the in-room fridge. There was nothing to fault. Staff throughout the resort were friendly, kind, professional, and willing to help. Many spoke several languages, and their welcome felt like part of the resort’s culture. The food was delicious, with a great variety. We rarely needed to go beyond the main buffet, which was wide-ranging and high quality, and the poolside restaurant had excellent snacks and service. There was a self-service tea and coffee station during the day, with premium coffee available at extra cost and good options free of charge. Perhaps some small cakes, biscuits, or ice cream alongside the drinks would make it even nicer. Valentine’s Day dinner was a magnificent feast, including lasagna, oysters, turkey, ice cream, outstanding desserts, fresh fruit, and almost anything you could wish for. The decorations were elegant, and the staff handled the occasion with grace and style. The resort is thoughtfully laid out and immaculately kept, with several pools, table tennis, darts, other activities, and beautifully landscaped grounds. There’s something for everyone. The rooms, facilities, food, and service were all exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend Neptune Paradise Beach Resort.

The staff were exceptionally kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful, and the location is stunning. The sand is soft like powder, the ocean is warm and clean, and the well-kept grounds have plenty of room around the sunbeds. We had a very pleasant, memorable stay. The quality of lunch and dinner was a bit uneven: some meals were excellent, while others were just average.

Great hotel, with excellent service and delicious food that had plenty of variety. The all-inclusive wristbands could be improved. You’ve got beautiful jewelry, so order the wristbands from local vendors.

I visited in Nov, 2022 and still have unforgettable memories. The staff were friendly, and there were lots of fun activities and games. I also loved the dining experience. My room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of privacy. The gardens were well kept and had ample rest beds. I’d highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Diani, and I’d absolutely return myself.
