The room was spacious, but that was its only real plus. There was neither air conditioning nor a fan, and mosquitoes filled the room, so sleeping was almost impossible. The towels and washroom smelled foul, which left me worried about hygiene and upkeep. Noise from outside came through clearly because the room had poor sound insulation. When we raised these problems and asked for a fan or another solution, the staff made no effort to help or even acknowledge how uncomfortable it was. It felt like guest comfort didn't matter. The food was a major letdown, especially for vegetarians. At dinner, choices were mostly jeera rice, spinach, and carrots, with almost no variety. The labels weren't clear either, and we had to ask repeatedly before naan was brought out. Breakfast was worse: baked potatoes, yam, pancakes, and beans, with no variety. They declined our requests for more vegetarian dishes. We had told the resort in advance that we were vegetarian, yet the packed lunch included only plain white rice, spinach, carrots, and pancakes. For a full-board package we'd paid for, that was completely unacceptable. I expected basic comfort and decent meals, but neither was provided. The resort charges premium prices while giving guests substandard rooms, poor-quality food, very few vegetarian options, inadequate hygiene, mosquito-filled sleepless nights, and indifferent service. I rarely write negative reviews, but this was genuinely disappointing. I wouldn't return or recommend it to anyone seeking comfort, good food, or value for money.

Moureen and Ruth at reception were a delight, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet dinner had lots of good choices, and breakfast was good too, though it's best to go early if you want the full variety. The hotel is lovely, with a nice pool and garden, and it's conveniently located on Moi south lake road. I had a good stay and would definitely go back. The towels in our room were very worn. They could also provide bathrobes and handwashing soap in the bathroom.

For conferencing, these were the best meals I've had in Naivasha. The hotel also has good conference facilities, spacious rooms, and plenty of outdoor space.

Sharing an update: the hotel has changed things up, and the Chef really went into sport mode! The Friday live-cooking session was a hit, and the food was excellent. Congratulations to the team! The place has a classy, calm feel, from the spotless parking lot and sleek boardrooms to the green lawns and cozy dining spaces. Still, the ground staff can get very chatty in the gardens, with lively local conversations loud enough to rival the PA system. It can sound like a little radio show, even though the hotel hosts workshops and board meetings. And the food used to feel like an ordinary experience wrapped in five-star packaging. A lot still needed to be done.
