The hotel was quiet and secure, with clean, well-furnished rooms and professional staff. I spent a weekend at Venus Hotel and was very impressed by the service and value for money. It has free Wi-Fi, hot showers, a reliable restaurant serving local dishes, and ample parking. For a comfortable, affordable, well-equipped stay in Kisii for business or leisure, I highly recommend it.

Breakfast was good, and there’s a bar inside too. The rooms are clean and really nice for what they charge, better than a lot of nearby places. Parking is the main drawback, since you have to leave your car outside right beside a busy road.

It’s easy to find and get to, right by the roadside. Being away from town makes it a nice option for a weekend away from the urban noise. Drinks are fairly cheap, and the rooms are affordable too.

They need to improve the infrastructure. The buildings are far apart, so some way to communicate with the main reception would help.

I paid for Wi-Fi and DSTV, but neither was available, and there weren’t the amenities I’d paid for. The shower was cold in the morning. Breakfast took about 45 minutes, so I gave up waiting. Apparently the chef had woken up late. A really nasty experience.
