A real budget hotel in Kisumu, with friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and plenty of parking. The prices are good. There's also a clean, good-sized swimming pool, plus a well-stocked bar and restaurant with fair prices. Great value.

My experience here was horrible. After I checked in, someone got into my room during the night. I woke up to find my bags rummaged through and everything scattered around. I lost my phone, money, ID, and ATM card. I later found the card and ID on the hotel ground floor, but the phone was gone. The CCTV wasn't working, which made it even more troubling. I reported it at Kondele police station and got an OB number. Three weeks later, the management still hadn't called me or given me any report. I'm disappointed.

The rooms were neat and lovely, the ambience was great, and the receptionist was very welcoming. The problem was the kitchen and waiter service. We arrived late and tired, ordered food at 7:03 pm, and didn't eat until after 10. The waiter kept saying it would be ready in 45 minutes, but we had to make a fuss in the kitchen to get it. They apologized. The hotel is worth a visit, but plan to eat elsewhere or order food from outside unless you've got more than three hours to wait.

The hotel was good quality for the price, though nothing fancy. It had the best room AC we'd come across in Kenya. The staff's care made the stay a five-star experience for me, even though the hotel itself felt more like a 3.5/4 star place. I got really sick after eating outside the hotel. Staff helped carry me to the car and drove us to a nearby hospital. One employee stayed with my wife the whole five hours I was being treated, helped her stay calm, and kept checking with hospital staff for updates. When treatment was done, they brought us back to the hotel. All of this help was free, they said it was part of the service. The staff also checked on me over the next few days while I recovered. I've traveled a lot, but never had this level of care at no cost. Just amazing.
