Milimani Holiday Resort

I recently heard about a deeply concerning incident at Millimani Resort in Kisumu that has raised serious questions for me about guest safety and privacy. A friend says a staff member harassed her on three occasions. She wasn't sure of the woman's name, but thought it might have been Emily or Milly. The most troubling event happened after my friend had finished swimming. The staff member allegedly entered her private changing area without permission and accused her of doing something wrong. That's invasive and unacceptable. Guests should be treated with respect and feel safe, especially in private places such as changing rooms. This reported behaviour would be a serious breach of privacy, and it raises significant concerns about guest safety at the resort. I urge management to take immediate disciplinary action against the staff member involved and put safeguards in place to prevent this happening again. Until the issue is addressed, I can't recommend Millimani Resort to anyone looking for a safe and respectful environment. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and acts to protect guests' privacy and dignity.

The staff, especially Mr David and the lady, were lovely and the service was great. The rooms are large, there's a mosquito net that helped, and parking is good. But there were so many mosquitoes, Jesus Christ. They need to fumigate the whole place and keep the doors shut so they don't get in. The bedding had several visible stains, and the towel smelled fishy, so they need a better detergent. The bathroom floor squeaked so badly it seemed like it might break at any moment. The water pipe wasn't working, and the water was lukewarm, not hot. It was a case of looking nice from a distance, but not being nice up close.

The service was good, and the rooms have fairly modern bathrooms and a moderate amount of space. The room I had was stuffy, though. There was only one towel and no hand towel, and the TV, which was supposed to have DSTV, showed only a few local channels. I haven't seen all the rooms, so I can only speak for the one I stayed in. For a few days, I guess it's alright.

The pool and service were both great, and the rates are quite affordable. It's also close to all the amenities. If you can afford it, stay here, you won't regret it.
