Sarova Imperial Hotel, Kisumu

The service was good, and I liked the atmosphere even more. We couldn't enjoy the outside view at The Perch because the seats were still damp from the rain. The room itself felt rather quaint, and the bottle of Shiraz we ordered was at room temperature.

The food was a highlight, with every meal prepared to a high standard and full of flavor. I also really liked the corridor lighting. The sensors come on as you walk through, giving the place a smooth, energetic, almost futuristic feel. It seems thoughtfully designed.

The rooms were spacious and airy, with a super comfortable bed and just the right shower pressure. The rooftop restaurant was a delight, though service there could be a little faster. Staff throughout the hotel were kind and approachable, and remembered guests by name. Lavender at the rooftop restaurant, Trevor and Francis at reception, and sales manager Susan deserve a special mention. I absolutely loved my stay, 10/10, and would highly recommend the hotel. Keep up the great work!

I was only there to pick up my friend, but the chief security officer sexualized me and assumed I was a prostitute based on my body. He said my gymwear made the establishment look bad. I can't help thinking he wouldn't have objected if a petite woman had worn the same outfit. I felt embarrassed by the experience, and wouldn't wish it on anyone.
