Seeing the building and its art so carefully kept over the years made me appreciate what our forefathers valued. The tour was really enjoyable, with a lot of fascinating history about the collections. It’s an iconic place in a great spot for sunset views over the National Park, and absolutely lives up to being called the “most photographed house in Africa.” 📸

The rooftop terrace gives you a breathtaking look over Nairobi National Park, including wildlife, and the staff made us feel right at home with their warmth and knowledge. Every room is like a living museum, filled with rare textiles, ancient artifacts, and handcrafted furniture that shows the range of Africa’s cultures. The collection is world-class. African Heritage House is easily one of the most remarkable places I’ve visited in Kenya, and it’s a national monument.

We went at the end of our Kenya trip, and it was such a great visit. There’s history throughout the beautiful house, and the roughly two-hour tour takes you through cultural artifacts from across Africa. Definitely worth doing if you’re in Nairobi.

Our guide knew a lot about both the artwork and the eccentric owner, who taught him about the collection. We came specifically to tour this amazing house, with beautiful furnishings and art from Kenya, Morocco, Ethiopia, and other African countries. A must-see while in Nairobi!

The food was delicious, and the welcome and rooms were on another level. It was my first visit, and the view of the national park made the place look amazing. I loved it.
