Garden Hotel

I had to use a different room to freshen up because there was no water in the shower. That room was supposedly “out of order,” and then I found the main door wouldn’t lock. Completely unacceptable. Stay here at your own peril.

The beds were comfortable, but the room amenities weren’t working. The fridge was broken, and there was just one socket in the whole room for charging. There was no water in the shower or toilet, so I had to shower with cold water, which was really unpleasant.

Nice, spacious rooms at a price that’s easy on the pocket.

After paying for two nights and staying just one, I came back that evening to find someone else in our room. Our wet underwear had been put in a paper bag with another piece of underwear from a different room. The toilet was dirty, the bathroom door was broken, and there was either no water or only cold water. The cups were dirty too, and even the electric kettle hadn’t been cleaned. Rooms clearly weren’t being prepared properly for the next guests. Staff seemed surprised and brought things over one at a time, including a towel and water, and there wasn’t even any tissue in the room. So disappointed with Garden Hotel Machakos. Never again.
