Speaking as an American, I found the Double Heart nice and clean, with helpful staff who were easy to reach. It’s well maintained for the area. It also felt safe, and I enjoyed my stay enough that I’d be comfortable coming back. Some things are unreliable: don’t count on the TV working, steady power, or running water. There’s no backup generator, and the WiFi can be inconsistent. Don’t expect 5G either. That all seems normal for Malindi. If you want the comfort and convenience of a Marriott, you’ll need to stay somewhere else and pay twice as much. For me, dealing with those things is part of the fun. My only average score was for location, because transportation can be hard to find, especially after dark. Tuk tuks can take you everywhere, and staff know people to call, but getting back from some places can be a problem.

This was a terrible experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you want to enjoy your holiday. An Italian woman followed us around like schoolchildren, enforcing a million rules. You have to pay 500 to use the room AC, the toilet water was shut off, and nothing in the room seemed to work.

We had a great stay at double heart. The pool and the view were lovely, and I enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the atmosphere. The room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff welcomed us warmly. It’s conveniently located for exploring Malindi. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting and am looking forward to coming back.

My friends and sister had a terrible experience here. Their valuables were stolen in the middle of the night, and they’re still traumatized by it 😭😭😭😭😭😭. The worst place ever.

The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It’s close to the beach and local attractions, while the pool is great for relaxing. A wonderful place to stay in Malindi, whether you’re looking to unwind or have a fun getaway. I’d highly recommend the resort.
