The pool was lovely, and the attendant was kind. We also liked the ambiance, though the furniture needs proper upkeep. The rest was a real letdown: dusty carpets and rooms, a worse state in the kitchen, dirty bathrooms, poor drainage, and no shower water. We raised concerns and were met with a hard look instead of help. The host needs to improve the staff or hire professionals. We were disappointed and didn’t feel we got our money’s worth, especially after booking and paying in full with no balance due.

Mohammed made us feel at home with a warm welcome. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the organized, diligent staff were supportive throughout. Kenyan house has a wonderful atmosphere and service, a relaxing getaway.

We stayed in one of the huge rooms in the compound, set away from the main house and right beside the pool. It was perfect for my boyfriend and me for my birthday weekend, and we even went for a swim at night lol. The host gave us a complimentary full coastal breakfast, so kind. Kenyan House is beautiful and quiet, with an amazing pool, and just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. We had such an intimate, lovely time. I’m definitely coming back. Loved it!!! Keep it up Kenyan House.

The rooms were clean and spacious, with wide patios for lounging and resting. Mohameds and the team gave us exceptional service. This was the best stay of our whole time in Kenya, and we’d gladly come back.

Mohammed helped arrange a taxi from Mombasa to Malindi, which made things much easier. We’d communicated well during booking, and on the day we left he came early so we could meet. We were welcomed warmly, and the housekeeper made sure we were comfortable. The place is quiet and the pool was very clean. We’ll definitely return ❤️
