Bamburi Beach Hotel - All Inclusive

The corner suites with plunge pools or Jacuzzis look spacious, and the hotel has been refurbished to a high standard. I spent four lovely days here and will certainly return. Every room has a sea view, and the place is great for a relaxing North Coast stay. My mom has specific dietary requirements, and the chef accommodated her with special meals. The food was delicious, and the chefs are very talented. There’s just one restaurant, but the menu changes daily and food is available throughout the day, so we never got hungry or tired of it. Other restaurants on the beach give you options if you want a change. All the staff, from reception and restaurant to bar, waiting, cleaning, and askaris, were friendly and provided high-level service. They made a real effort to learn guests and their habits. I’m told a spa is planned for the next phase of refurbishment.

It was wonderfully relaxing to spend two weeks here, with a pristine pool to sit beside. The only drawback was the beach, where the hawkers made it hard to sit comfortably. From the gardeners and cleaners to the restaurant, front desk, and animation staff, everyone was so friendly. We got a superb welcome on arrival, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The hotel was kept spotlessly clean and feels like a 5-star place. I’d thoroughly recommend it and would return without a doubt. It’s not for anyone after a loud, boozy holiday, though, go to Benidorm for that.

I first came back after the renovation because Lorna made my earlier stay so lovely. She’s unforgettable. Michael, the manager, and all the staff, including Benja, Carlos,Bridgit,Kelvin, have been great too. Bamburi has a beautiful, relaxing space, and you can see they invest in their staff. I love it here and will definitely return. Plan for the floating breakfast or dinner by the water, you’ll enjoy it!

I really liked the accommodation and the views. But at reception, Lorna repeatedly stopped helping me to serve white and Indian guests, then came back to me. It happened three times, as if I was expected to understand. Whether she meant it or did it subconsciously, it came across as discriminatory and deeply offensive. It left a very bad impression, and I don’t see myself coming back.
