Hotel Englishpoint Marina

It looks impressive from outside, but inside the rooms are dirty and poorly cleaned, with cockroaches around and poor hygiene. The food wasn’t what I expected, and the hot water heaters don’t work. You pay and get no benefits.

The fireworks and the view were great when we celebrated New Year here, but the event was badly organized. The staff were friendly and tried to help, though they were left working in difficult circumstances. The planners were really at fault: there weren’t enough staff, and every waiter had to place orders through just two computer points, creating a constant bottleneck. There was a choice between buffet and a la carte. The buffet cost an outrageous 14000 per person, and from what I saw, hardly anyone chose it. The card payment machines didn’t work either. I’ve learned my lesson and won’t come back for another event.

The private beach and swimming pool were lovely, and I enjoyed the ambience too. I spent five nights here, with hearty breakfasts every morning and friendly staff throughout. I loved every bit of the stay.

We waited from 11am until 4pm just to get a family room. The hotel is beautiful, but it’s managed poorly and the service was very bad. More maintenance, staff training, and better management would make a big difference. My personal rating is 5/10.
