Only the Parisian Ritz could rival it. I wouldn't eat at the kebabhouse on the right of the roundabout, though. My mates got the shits the next morning after Tawakal, because of maestros secret sauce.

I've been staying at this hotel for two years now. It's a really nice place.

A simple, no-frills place right in central Mombasa CBD, with just a bed. The 24-hour restaurant and bus stop are next to the offices. WiFi is quick and dependable, and the staff are friendly. Bedding, bathroom, and towels were clean. Cars park on the street, but security guards are there around the clock.

At 2,000 KES a night, I got a very spacious, simple room with a large bed and clean sheets. The bathroom was clean too, and it was a good spot for a comfortable night's sleep. Room no. 1 is very quiet, and the wifi was working at a reasonably good speed. The location is excellent.

I picked this basic sleep-and-go room because I had a late bus and a small child, and only needed a few hours' rest. The location is ideal, right in the middle of town, with a restaurant downstairs and Naivas within walking distance. The elderly receptionist and security guards were friendly. The room was clean, especially the toilet and bathroom. Nothing special, but I'd probably rest here again.
