Regency Park Hotel

The owners were warm and helpful. They found us a tuk-tuk to the railway station and gave us complimentary food. The rooms were clean, a reasonable size, and had AC. It’s a decent hotel in a central spot, close to ivory Tusk entry, and good value for money.

The location is the biggest plus. The staff were friendly, and the A/C package room I got was one of the bigger ones, though some rooms are small. After six days, I’d say yes if you’re tired, need a rest, and want somewhere close. For more than one night, I’d say no unless the rates are good. The rest was a mixed bag. The A/C control only let me set the temperature, not the fan speed. Breakfast was called a buffet, but only two items changed each day, sausage was always the third option, and a server told me I could take only two. For the price I paid, I could have stayed at the 'dune hotel' with a swimming pool and an all-you-can-eat breakfast with more variety. There’s no swimming pool here.

For the price and proximity to CBD locations, it was a good stay, and they offer breakfast too. I booked an affordable single room with AC, which was okay for a short visit. The smell in the corridor outside my room was the one thing I didn’t like.

Mr Hussein's customer service was at another level, and the breakfast was nice. The assorted food at the restaurant was delicious too. It’s a nice budget hotel within the CBD, but the cleaners could be more professional. I didn’t like how they dragged their feet around in slippers like village men. Please consider employing more ladies in the hotel.
