Ziwa Beach Resort

There’s a lovely room setup, plus furnished outdoor space that’s great for relaxing or entertaining. The trees create a cool environment, and there’s beachfront access and friendly staff.

The only things we enjoyed were the view, the beach access, the other guests’ vibe and the DJ’s music. We chose to go with the music instead of letting it ruin a night that was already ruined. On New Year’s Eve, after paying 3500 per person at the gate, we were questioned rudely by the waitress and the chef or supervisor at the food corner, as if we were beggars or intruders. The gatekeepers were rude and didn’t seem trained to handle check-ins. There were only two waitresses serving the whole restaurant, and they seemed overwhelmed. We didn’t feel we got any value for our money.

The setting at Ziwa Beach Resort is beautiful, but my recent stay was completely ruined by the management, specifically Nico. Requests to the front desk or about services were ignored or met with excuses, and there seemed to be a clear disconnect between staff and management. When there was an issue with my booking or room, Nico showed no interest in fixing it or offering a sincere apology. His interactions were cold and dismissive, and I felt like an inconvenience rather than a valued guest. A resort depends on the people running it, and the leadership here is severely lacking. It’s a shame, as the property has potential, but guest satisfaction doesn’t seem to be a priority. I can’t recommend it to anyone looking for hospitality and a stress-free vacation. Look elsewhere.

The ocean view was lovely, but poor management and service made our stay at Ziwa Hotel very disappointing. The buffet food wasn’t fresh, the reception was untidy, and there was mold in the rooms. Even the curtains smelled musty. We booked a twin double room but were given a family room, and there was no hot water. The hotel serves only vegetarian food, something the booking site didn’t clearly state. Some staff behaved in a discriminatory way, and there was no designated prayer area. The many sculptures and figurines around the property may make some guests uncomfortable. Since the booking was non-refundable, the whole experience was even more frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to other travelers.
