Cosy Stay

The owner and workers were so helpful and treated me like family. Mary and Violet, thank you. The gated community felt safe, and the location is great, about 15 minutes from NBO airport. I got the larger room inside the family home. I did feel uneasy because there was no key to lock the room, and there wasn't any toilet paper. Still, it's a great place for the price.

Breakfast was really good, and the food you can order for midday or evening was great too. It's a fantastic, inexpensive, quiet place in Nairobi. The host is lovely, a mother who opens her family home where she lives with her kids, and the service is great.

Mary was so kind and gave us lots of useful local advice. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The estate felt safe, with friendly security, and we had a comfy bed with a mosquito net. Good Wi-Fi and a tasty breakfast too.

I felt completely at ease there. The woman working there was an 11/10, and so were the kids and that cute, silly, sweet little barking dog. There were barbers, pharmacies, a café, and a quick mart just outside the gates, and I liked the people I met. Even the couple from Malaysia staying outside the house added to the atmosphere. When I arrived feeling awful from food poisoning, they moved me to a better room inside the house. I didn't know at first why they'd switched my room. Mary, I think that was her name, was lovely. They gave me space and privacy when I wanted it, but were there if I needed anything. My room had no lock, but I never felt that I or my belongings were unsafe. Don't come expecting luxury, this isn't the Hilton's or anything. It felt like humanity. I had a spiritual experience inside that house, literally. One day I felt strange from the food poisoning mixed with being high off music. Maybe it was the activated charcoal from the pharmacy that I took to combat the illness? I have no idea, it made no sense, but that's what happened. It was like being on mild shroo..
