The mix of cultures is a big part of what makes Eastleigh feel alive. Somali, Yemeni, Ethiopian, and other influences come together in the food, the vendors, and everyday interactions. People call it “Little Mogadishu” for a reason. There’s plenty to explore, from Business Bay Square Mall to long rows of fashion, electronics, and wholesale shops. It’s a busy place where affordable goods and business opportunities seem to be around every corner. The streets move fast, with vendors calling out and crowds everywhere, but that energy is part of the appeal. For travellers, bargain hunters, or anyone interested in how business gets done, Eastleigh is a lively Nairobi neighbourhood with a lot going on.

Sadia at reception was rude to clients and provided the worst customer service. She also has poor communication skills and, in my view, doesn't speak any national language fluently, which I consider important for a receptionist.

I came looking for a room after demonstrations in Nairobi Cbd made it unsafe to head home. I was turned away because I had no luggage, even after explaining that I was in a difficult and unsafe situation. The receptionist on duty, a woman called Saadia, was rude and showed no understanding or empathy. In a moment like that, basic compassion and professionalism should matter. I left feeling more vulnerable and disappointed, and hope management takes a serious look at how people in distress are treated.

There’s a hall here that hosts weddings, and the music carried on into the early morning. I couldn’t sleep, so I had to leave in the middle of the night and find somewhere else. Avoid this place if getting a good night’s sleep matters to you.

A fun, affordable place to stay. I especially enjoyed the restaurant, where you can get great traditional Somali food. The staff were really helpful too.
