Eron Hotel

I spent two weeks at Eron Hotel and had a great stay. They supplied the cooking gadget and clean utensils we needed to make our own meals, since we weren't familiar with Kenyan food at restaurants. It's close to Koja terminal and international buses. Maggie kept everything very clean and was caring as well. Thanks.

DO NOT STAY!! It was a nightmare, the hotel staff robbed us. This didn't feel safe: "security" is on the bottom floor and isn't always there, room keys are left out in the lobby where anyone can take them unnoticed, and staff go through your belongings every day while they "clean". Breakfast was good, but that's about all. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

I like that there’s room to move around, and the kitchenette setup has a microwave, stove, toaster, fridge, sink, and dishes. The room feels like an efficiency, and it’s clean and comfortable. Breakfast gets delivered, too, and the management and workers have added a real dose of Kenyan hospitality. The price works well for me. Downtown is crowded and busy, with lots of people going about their work, but it’s all good. Uber or Taxify can pick you up at the entrance, and a security guard walks you to the car. My wife and I have found our place to unwind after landing at JKIA.

I usually make a point of staying at Eron Hotel when I visit Nairobi, but this time the service let me down. I’d asked reception the night before for breakfast at 7 because I had an early flight, and they assured me it would be ready. At 7:30 there was still no sign of it. When I went to check out, I got the same receptionist and just an apology. The hotel wasn’t even very full, so I hope they avoid this kind of negligence in future.
