The location is fine, and the chef can clearly make decent food, but the service was among the worst I’ve come across. It’s especially frustrating when staff seem indifferent while you’re there with kids. I called beforehand and was told they had an à la carte menu and meals usually took about 45 minutes. We ordered drinks while we waited, but had to push for the kids’ food, which arrived after an hour. Our meals took another hour. Then the waiter forgot an entire order, left parts off another dish, and didn’t seem to care. It’s puzzling given the good reviews and what looks like a decent staff-to-guest ratio.

The dining hall is good, and the location is lovely, especially if you enjoy birdwatching. The room we got on our first visit was spacious, but when we returned, ours was cramped and very small.

A great escape from town, close to Galeria Mall but tucked away from the busy town atmosphere.

We had a small party at Troy, and our guests really enjoyed it. The food was lovely, the service was great, and we liked the ambience. Chris and Lucy, the manager, were very helpful and got everything organised smoothly. It’s a hidden gem. I’d definitely recommend it and come back.
