The reception staff were willing to help, but breakfast wasn't ready early. It might help to remind them the night before. I also had a strange payment issue: I booked through hotels.com, but the hotel hadn't received that payment, so I had to pay cash there. hotels.com refunded my first payment later. Check with the hotel before arriving, or bring extra money. The hotel is in a quiet setting, relatively near bus stops and Aga Khan hospital, though taking a taxi may be better. The rooms and surroundings were neat, and the price was lower than some other Nairobi hotels of a similar standard. But there was no mosquito net in my room, and mosquitoes kept me awake all night. Friends staying at other hotels said their rooms had no nets either. I wonder if that's common in Nairobi.

On 4th Parklands rd, this is a nice 3 stars hotel within walking distance of Aga Khan hospital and Diamond Plaza one and two.

Cockroaches were in the room and bathroom, and the linen was dirty and stained. The pillows were terrible, and the curtains let outside light in. The bathroom was pathetic, and the toilet pan was loose from the ground. When I called the receptionist, he acted like it didn't matter. Staff were incompetent at handling problems. DO NOT BOOK AT THIS PLACE!!!!!

Parklands is a prime location, and the front desk team was consistently helpful and professional. The restaurant food was satisfactory, though the service staff need better training. During my extended stay of several weeks, hot water was inconsistent and the bathroom floors were dangerously slippery. The rooms need upgrades. I raised concerns with the owner, but they were dismissed. The owner's lack of engagement with guest feedback was a real drawback.
