The staff are friendly, and you can use the kitchen, gas cooker included. They also offer tours and safaris at good prices. I took the slum tour for 2000, most of which goes toward food and education for orphans. For that tour, WhatsApp Rally +254705964110. Some things may be an issue depending on what you need. The towels are missing and the WiFi is weak, as other reviews mention. If those matter to you, this probably isn't the right place. They didn't bother me, and I really enjoyed staying here.

For one night, it can do, and the safari deals are competitive. Dinner is inexpensive too. But I wouldn't stay longer. The place is dirty, and when things break, they seem to stay broken. Only one shower worked, and the shower and toilet doors wouldn't lock. Most lockers were broken, and the few that worked were already taken. There were no towels, and the WiFi was poor. It's cheaper than most places in Nairobi, but I didn't think it was worth the cost. The location is near the centre, though there's not much happening around there.

Manyatta is roughly a ten-minute walk from the city centre, and staff or the receptionist can help you find information about places to visit. They're friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is just French toast, a banana, and coffee, though there are plenty of restaurants in the city. It's a nice place for the price, very basic, so it suits you if that's what you want.

Manyatta is a good, cheap option if you're traveling alone in Kenya on a budget. The customer service is decent, and getting to Nairobi Central Business District takes only a short walk. The food is average at best and the accommodation is OK. The services are good, and you get what you pay for.

I came back to this hostel three times while I was in Kenya. The vegetarian dinner is tasty and cheap, and it's a good spot to meet other backpackers. The staff are lovely, helpful with recommendations, and interested in getting to know you.
