Palacina The Residence & The Suites

Palacina became a core memory for our organization, just as it did for a member of the staff who told us that hosting our group had become one for them. We left with a real sense of friendship, and the whole experience was overwhelmingly positive. We came from a US-based organization bringing our program to Africa for the first time as we expand globally. For a multi-day event with 50+ participants, we needed somewhere peaceful but professional, able to handle a demanding schedule. Palacina felt like a beautiful oasis in Nairobi, with calm, greenery and thoughtful design. Its different spaces, from executive lounges and the conference room to the onsite restaurant, fireplace areas and poolside, let us move between plenary sessions, breakout groups, one-on-one meetings and smaller gatherings. Frequent room resets, changing group sizes and shifting timelines were all managed smoothly, as were our unusual room setups and last-minute changes. The food was consistently delicious and beautifully prepared, from casual meals to formal dinners. Family-style dining felt intimate and exclusive, and the team handled gluten-free and dairy-free needs carefully. The quality and presentation stayed high across meals, which mattered during long workdays. The staff met our detailed requests with warmth and enthusiasm. They adapted quickly to feedback, and handled complex room assignments, changes and special accommodation needs patiently and efficiently. In person, everyone was responsive and flexible, and the operational work behind the scenes kept things calm and organized. Two things could be better. Emails and messages during planning sometimes took longer than expected, which was tricky for time-sensitive coordination across time zones. Quicker digital replies would help global groups. Also, some parts of the property may be difficult for guests with limited mobility. Ramps, clearer paths or easier routes between areas would make it more accessible.
