The breakfast cost 1,600 shillings and was disgusting. Our room was tiny and cold, with mosquitoes, a strong marijuana smell, and broken window latches. There was no electricity, the sockets didn't work, and we couldn't charge our phones or take a hot shower. That was especially difficult because we were traveling with our 10-month-old baby. The booking app showed a free baby cot, but on arrival they wanted 10,000 shillings for it. We declined. The cot was still in the room, but it was completely broken and unsafe, so of course we didn't use it. We'd paid for two nights and planned to stay longer, but checked out a day early because there was no power or hot water. They refused our refund request, so we just left that dump. I hadn't expected service this terrible in the center of Kileleshwa.

It's inexpensive per night, and most of the staff are nice. The gate guy can be pretty weird, though. My first room had big, aggressive ants. They moved me without any fuss, but the replacement room had black mold on the bathroom ceiling and mosquitoes that seemed to appear out of nowhere.

There's a restaurant attached, and plenty of quiet outdoor space for catching up socially or for business. They also have a conference hall available for meetings or events. A good budget stay in a peaceful neighborhood.

The food tasted really bad despite being so expensive. The rooms are tiny, and some guests smoked all over the place, so this isn't a good choice if you're traveling with kids. We had no lights or hot water during the two days we stayed.

The towels were so dirty and smelly that I wouldn't have used them for anything, not even wiping the floor. The bedding and mattress were filthy too, and looked like they hadn't been replaced in 15-20 years. We arrived late expecting the room to be ready, but it wasn't. I had booked a Superior Deluxe Room with a garden view for two nights for my family at Sochati Casa Resort. Instead, we were put in a basic Deluxe Room with no view. There was no fan or AC, and the standing fan they gave us when we asked was broken and useless. There was no working Wi-Fi either, which is unacceptable in the middle of Nairobi. The price was far too high for such poor room conditions and missing basics. I was so disappointed that I left a day early even though I'd paid for two nights. Maybe the extra money I left can go toward fixing at least one room. The owner needs to provide basic cleanliness, upkeep, and facilities to run a hospitality business. Families who care about hygiene, comfort, and Wi-Fi should stay away, this place was a nightmare for us. Maybe bachelors who don't mind the cleanliness would be fine here, but I still wouldn't recommend it. 0/10, a complete waste of money.
