The whole place feels serene and well cared for from the moment you arrive. Dan is warm and hands-on, and the staff were just as friendly and helpful. The service felt personal and relaxed. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully set up. Across the property, there’s a comfortable, private feel with a touch of understated luxury. The Drexel House is a great choice in Nairobi’s Karen area, whether you’re visiting for work, relaxation, or exploring. My stay matched its reputation for cleanliness, comfort, and good service. Highly recommended.

Breakfast in the gorgeous garden was such a treat. The garden itself is magnificent, and the whole place is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The staff were very attentive, and Kennedy took exceptional care of us and cooked delicious meals. Our night at the Drexel house was a really pleasant surprise. I highly recommend it.

Even with heavy rain flooding other parts of Nairobi, the hotel stayed calm and fully functional. It’s a beautiful place, with roomy lounges and a garden where elegant jazz plays. Breakfast is made to order, and the Wi-Fi was reliable.

The garden is a lovely place to eat when the weather allows, and Dan, the owner, can point you to local places to eat. The food at the house is good too. I used the pool for a dip, though it’s not really suited to swimming laps, and you can head out for a run right from the gate. What defines the Drexel House for me is the quiet, leafy garden and the friendly, attentive staff. It’s a great option if you’d rather avoid Nairobi’s chaos.
